Where is your evidence for that? In the past, the pimples have existed for as long as the dictator did. When they die, the pimples collapse into themselves. Spain and Yugoslavia for example. Yugoslavia resolved itself relatively quickly into genocide and the re-establishment of national, tribal borders, Spain is still undergoing the process but fortunately without nearly so much bloodshed.
The main cause of the problem is not the Ayatollah, but the West. Have you seen the nuclear arsenals, aircraft carriers, troops, tank and artillery squadrons, sophisticated aeroplanes and air defence/attack weapons the west has? But you criticise Iran for a few tunnels of non-nuclear (atm) missiles! Iran is moving towards conflict with S-A, who are backed militarily by the US, why wouldn't they have tunnels of missiles?
Why do you think there are gentlemanly rules? You are truly deluded if you think that they exist. Have you already forgotten Kosovo, Serbia, East Timor, Rwanda .... all catastrophes brought on by the west meddling in local affairs, imposing national boundaries that divide tribal areas. Possibly the best that the west can do now that it has not only let the genie out of the bottle but smashed the bottle too, is to try to re-establish tribal boundaries in Iraq and Libya (there is still a hope, thanks to Putin, that the Syria situation can be restored - that bottle hasn't been smashed yet) but that brings its own problems: people would have to relocate to traditional homelands, and the Turks are going to be less than enamoured with a Kurdish homeland on their doorstep.
