As I understand,
The Akarola brand is owned by New Hope Nutritionals which is a 25/75 JV between Synlait (25%) and Chinese juggernaut New Hope (75%).
It's not intended that Akarola be sold anywhere else but in mainland China, same goes for the Noritz owned brands, Gold and Pinrise, as far as I'm aware.
These plus Yashili and others seem to be specific ventures targeting the China infant formula market only.
