CGT Help

Apologies for polluting the thread with this, but thought it might be the quickest way to get an answer. My recent purchases and the rise in AJX have left me in a bit of a CGT fix, I want to transfer some AJX to my wife to offset my accumulated CGT losses. Etrade are happy to do the offmarket transfer via a posted form, but this then takes 5 days... Given the volatility in the share price, what value consideration will the shares have? Can I nominate the price I transferred at or will it be the closing price? If it's the latter which days closing price given Etrade say it will take up to five business days?
