I think that the average Australian just doen't care about these sorts of matters.
If we did, there would be an outcry and the Laws of the land altered to reflect our beliefs.
The only things that have been changed with outcry from the people revolves around the hip pocket, dropping of the CPI increase of petrol taxes ( Feb 02 ), and Qlds ambulance tax springs to mind.
