The statement "man is a measure of all things" is an assumption or opinion, not fact. Under Occams Razor it is superfluous to the understanding.
The universe is what it is. If we are yet to understand it fully then it is not because of some higher being that it exists. To create a God to explain the yet to be explained is a comfort blanket, not science.
The universe exists so I can make Bunta coin rain down upon thyself.
