Much of the discussion recently is centred on concrete testing/Edencrete applications. Fair enough...it represents the first bulk market for CNT produced from EDE's patented pyrolysis process and hence a path to self financed expansion.
The potential demand for the pyrolysis process itself is being largely overlooked. Hydrogen is an essential industrial gas, widely used in petrochemical & fertiliser industies particularly ; but a diverse array of other industry & also potentially in new-generation vehicles.
Current steam reformation production of H2 is main process & is environmentally unfriendly due to CO2 produced.Sequestration of produced CO2 is an expensive option for disposal.
Given that gas will replace coal over the next few decades (rapidly happening in the US) & that global pressure is building on countries to meet & tighten GHG emission reductions then there would appear to be a commercial & environmental imperative to consider adoption of Eden's pyrolysis process, quite separate to the potential profits from EdenCrete (or other CNT applications)
The point being...incremental expansion ie, gaining sales of EdenCrete to concrete companies to then progressively build CNT reactors to then gain more sales & then more production capacity etc, could be shortcut dramatically by partnering with a large industrial user or producer of H2. A petochemical company for example, or a large gas producer (noting gas glut in US with value-adding opportunities keenly sought by all players).
The outcome for EDE could be a fast-track to high volume CNT production without the financial pressures of the go-it-alone strategy. EDE has negotiation strength in this if a broad range of suitors/partners approached in the right way & can structure the arrangement to minimise dilution. Of course wide recognition of the commercial/environmental advantages EDE could bring opens up the possibility of competition for EDE's attentions...or EDE itself
