the price of oil today discounted for inflation back to 2003 is about $20 equivalent. the bottom of the range from 1999 to 2003 sideways price movement was $20. not only is the price of inflation a factor but the cost of production will be higher now as the oil is not as easy as it was 15 years ago. id say we are very close to an oil bottom and would be very surprised to see it go lower from here. watch for Santos bid any day now...
