Interesting that both 2bobworth seems to have the same rose tinted view of JH’s legacy as JH himself has.  From the website of his latest venture “Mr. Heugh, BSc (Hons) MAAPG, MPESA, MAICD, MAFAP served as Managing Director of Central Petroleum Ltd and during this time raised over $100,000,000 of equity funding, and close to $0.75 billion potential expenditure in farmout deals he initiated or orchestrated.”  Also “Total and Santos have now farmed in to portion of this acreage in deals totaling over $300 million which were initiated by Mr Heugh and US based consultancy, GRR prior to Mr Heugh’s departure from CTP.” (http://afrohawkenergy.com/contacts-management/); Afrohawk seems to have gone nowhere over the last 3-4years.

Seems to contradict the judgement 2bobworth cited saying that JH remedied his breeches of interfering with Shortt completing the farmouts in which case presumably Shortt should be credited.  Also seems contrary to JHs interview in the paper after the latest legal beat up came where he speculated that GRR may have a case if they have a contract…..whereas in his latest venture he is claiming he ran the whole show together with GRR in which case you would expect he would know about the existence of a contract – or not.   

The ultimate deals struck were by all account a credit to the current CEO and nothing to do with the former.

Are we witnessing an attempt to manipulate history?

I would love to believe this is an attempt to manipulate the share price ahead of a takeover but it seems to lack the required sophistication.  Also rather than focusing on core value the attacks continue to focus on the now discredited former CEO.
