Yep there are stupid laws out there, but part of enjoying what Australia has to offer is respecting Australian law. The great thing about Australia is, if you disagree with a particular law, then you are free to lobby for change.
As far as following religion, I still think it is all man made BS, but enjoy so long as you keep within Australian law.
