    Yes, but if you go and read the actual posts on the "green" companies, you will find that in some cases it was not obvious at the time that he was positive about them. For example, on CIR (the best performing "green" company), he initially said "It’s probably not an overpriced equity relative to it’s stage of development (looking at comparable firms) or its balance sheet". "Probably not overpriced" isn't really a recommendation in my book. His only post on IMU (up 50% - another of the best performing "green" companies) basically slagged off their capital raise and concluded "It’s a shame, because it’s an interesting story. Unfortunately today’s financing announcement is basically nothing more than a dilution to existing shareholders with no associated value inflection". Again, hardly a recommendation.

    A few of the other companies he was positive on were either up by <5% or down.

    You might still be in front if you backed those companies, but you'd be even further in front if you'd backed a whole raft of companies that he slated. And as a point of reference, the ASX Biotech Daily top 40 index was up 21% last year, so it's not like you had to be a genius stock picker to select a few biotechs that did well over this period.
