So much coal getting pulled atm from all the players:
Sydney - Thursday - July 20: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Wesfarmers (WES) has released its June quarter Statement of Production,
Development and Exploration for its coal mining activities.
This shows a 39 per cent increase in production of
metallurgical coal from the Curragh mine in Queensland during the
2005/06 financial year.
As previously advised, rail and port capacity constraints have
had an adverse impact on Curragh metallurgical coal sales which were, as
anticipated, below production levels for the year ended 30 June.
Sales from Curragh for that period comprised:
* Metallurgical coal - 6.0 million tonnes
* Steaming coal - 2.6 million tonnes
Rail performance shortfalls and port congestion resulted in the
loading of some coal included in the previously-advised full year
estimate of 6.2 million tonnes slipping into the first week of July.
The production and sales outlook for the current financial year
will continue to be affected by the rail and port issues.
