Wrong. They don't get 'interim' results. They're not allowed to and nor do the docs or participants involved. They might get the results a day or so prior to release, but that's only to tidy them up into presentation form. That is because it would invalidate the study and also be illegal if the direct participants had inside knowledge, so there is an overseeing administration around clinical trials that have some level of inside knowledge, but only really to know if its extreme one way or the other (unsafe or unethical to proceed to completion). If you want to believe that body is so inept or unethical that it would forward information onto a company then you'd be wrong there too. The company will divulge information when it receives it and until then, noone knows what that information will be.
