Now I've had run-in with what appears to be fake security support, by phone, purportedly from Telstra !!! They asked me to connect my PC to anydesk.com, and then later teamviewer.com. I did neither!!!
To verify genuineness of the support being offered, they asked me to call 03-9013.4396; but the 'foreigner' there could not satisfy my concern. I asked them to email me fuller explanation of issue so I could investigate further, but I aint seen nothin yet!
Googling the 03 phone number revealed previous complaints of what appears to be another annoying, and potentially dangerous, scam - so please be warned !!!
