A little behind the eight ball there haime.
If you haven't noticed, both companies are having there true position cleaned up. Share prices have been slashed accordingly.
SHJ have already stated their audited position, with the market reaction, I believe, creating an amazing trading opportunity. SGH is yet to give their financials, so I'll hold off judgement on their business model.
In the meantime stop being a new Hotcopper member posting low content rubbish under new thread titles.
Please provide a reference for your statistics on the number of fraudulent claims.
Please provide details of what percentage of both SGH and SHJ's university educated lawyers actually chase ambulances......such a derogatory connotation.
Have you seen the environmental damage done by mining companies around the globe (think Brazil I/O recently, Exon Valdez, etc, etc). Have you seen the social and cultural damage caused by the big multi-nationals (think global consumerism, obesity, prescription drug epidemic, etc, etc)? Have you seen the financial damage done by the big banks (think GFC, etc, etc)?
I bet you still invest in these, mega-profit, small business destroying companies.
Remember, it has been lawyers whose class actions and individual law suits have often been the only thing that have kept the above mentioned groups honest, providing justice and compensation.
Who gives you the right to judge them all as 'ambulance chasers'.
And don't ever make a new thread just for the sake of it.

milesy, with regards my reference to the percentage of fraudulent claims do a search in Google and you will see. Why do you think the UK is changing the rules?
I agree with your comment about mining companies, banks, etc., but still stick to my previous post about the nature of the business. Ambulance chasers is the right name and I would suggest your reluctance to accept it is due to the fact that you have participated or are presently part of the industry.
Lastly, their position will hopefully be cleaned up after the numerous investigations, and according to the information at hand there are some serious questions to be answered, like how the hell do you agree to purchase a sinking business for $1.2 billion?
