Well if you've read my stuff on here you'll know that I analyse the financial position of the company, and the circumstances in which it is operating. I analyse the trustworthiness of the major players. I interpret the statements made by the company and make a judgement about what new information that arises means for the company using my skills and experience. I then take a position off the the back of my conclusions. The output of that has been a couple of short positions and profits.
This process can be called investing or trading. If you are just having a punt based on the fact that the share price has gone down, that's a gamble. What's the result of that strategy been like for you?
