If you look at the graph on the link, it appears to my newbie eyes at least, that the shorters are trying to crush the stock. The % of stock shorted has been increasing even though price has fallen to what many would argue as compelling buy levels in which case you would think shorting would become far more risky and less desirable compared to immediately following the bad news release. A competitor trying to crush the company perhaps or someone else trying to soften it up for takeover??
