No, I am not against what you are saying either. Of course we should discount cash that's way in the future, say 20 years from now.

But my point is this. Shine makes say 100 dollars investment and they get 148 dollars 1 year later. You are right to say we need to discount that, since other companies get their investment within the year. So let's discount that with a rate of 5% on 100 dollar invested. Therefore the net should be 148dollars minus 5 dollars which is 143dollars. Why is this even an issue to be discussed when it's so small? Does 48% versus 43% change your view on this company?

So I want people to stick to the crux of the argument instead of going off on a tangent to talk about trivial things that doesn't affect the decision to invest or not.
