Dopey, a planned and then executed immigration policy to fill future employment rolls in an economy with an aging population will bear fruit in thirty years plus.
A knee jerk open door policy like that of Germany is very dangerous in an economic sense as possibly a security sense. I can't recall images of Syrian refugees banging on the gates of their old ally Russia for admittance though.
Having said that where were these refugees to go? A real dilemma but Merkel's actions weren't in the best interests of Germany.
Irrespective of all comments and opinions, let the voters decide.
