This internet and the liquidity of stocks can play mind games with an investor , if you have a bit of land worth around the same value as say Alexium you do not look at local land values on a daily basis , but we look each day at the value of our investments with the usual incorrect assumption that if it has gone up or down 20% that the intrinsic value (NPV) has also changed at a commensurate value
Mind you back in the 50s everyone was focused on the likes of Tooth and Co, Drug Houses of Australia , ICI Mires Emporium ,Burn Philip and Co, no banks even in the top 50 companies , and virtually no miners except for Broken hill/North broken hill and Consolidated Zinc/Electrolytic Zinc and Mt Isa when they went to the pub to chin wag (obviously not me ) and then there was the Poseidon bubble in the 70s guess the media has a lot to answer for .
