Hi Musky, I've no experience as trader, why my assumptions might be wrong. However, when I compare to e.g. SGH (Slater Gordon), it is easy to see how the shorters exited upon the announcement of bad news, whereby investors dumped holdings and the shorters covered. (see link)

But for SHV I believe the situation is different, as we are expecting a fairly decent HY16 announcement and no dumping of holdings - or will GS/CS hang around and keep shorting/putting pressure on the price hoping further decline in almond prices?? But if that scenario doesn't play out, they will have to give up at some point.
