Is Carbon Conscious Still Environmental?

"Carbon Conscious will continue to generate around $1 million per annum of earnings (EBITDA) from these long term reforestation contracts which will continue for the next 20 years"

Heres some of the points i don't like about the article: ( i may be bias )

1. Co2 Emission on average is 1.11 kg per litre. With System 5. Article literally tries to over exaggerate by only putting in total figure of 28000 tonnes for C02 for CCF's 25 million litre target.
tonne = 1000 kg
28000 x 1000 = 28 000 000 kgs of Co2 / 25 million Litres of milk = 1.12 kgs per litre
Thats an increase in Co2 emission of less than 1% under this system compared to its average. So i do not this is the reason for management to want to change their name. They clearly told us the reason why they want to change it (from their announcements)
Keep in mind, the article did say 28 000 tonnes or "more", however, the figure of 1.11kg per litre is also an average. Meaning others not under system 5 can also go above and beyond 1.11kg per litre.

2. Article questions management's experience, which in my opinion (if you've done your own research and know who's part of the management team) i believe they have the experience needed to do what they gotta do.

3. Here's where i found the article is paradoxical:
The article provided System 5's advantages. For example reduced lameness as its walking distance is reduced etc, later on, it complained about how hard flooring increases lameness.


Whether it is environmental or not, i would say the only real issue is how management deals with the high nutrient rich excrement and it will all depends on how effective CCF's waste management strategies are. Whether it is ethical or not, my opinion cannot represent all, however i believe system 5 is just like eggs, are the hens caged or not. People still buy both free-ranged and caged.

I will ignore the financial part of the article because the title of this topic is concerned with the "environmental" aspect.
