I imagine that once prepaid is elected, then rewardle becomes a third party processor with the merchant charged a fee per transaction, which would be no different than fees they would normally pay within a standard payment gateway/merchant account.
The added bonus is that the average amount of prepaid added would be a larger sum, leading to a smaller CC transaction cost, (lower %) hopefully to rewardles benefit.
I can't see rewardle providing both the free platform and free transactions. Which is why I mentioned the various revenue streams. The cafes that want to retain customers, analyse data and capture new customers (the big cost) through m-payments will take it up. Those that don't will suffer.
Regardless, pre paid volumes are growing nicely and currently at say $5 per transaction (coffee) sit at 6500 + per week for Q4.
