The frequency of trading is often dictated by your attitude to stop---loss.
Stop---loss is a good way to die a financial death of a thousand cuts, given how stocks like to fluctuate. Say you set your stop loss to the overnight mark. Then for example you would be out of SHJ on Friday when it came back from 72 cents.
If you don't like stop---losses then you find yourself in pathetic and destructive financial plays, like my trading in SGH. In at $1.16 out at 59.5 cents.
If I , like anyone , could have a playbook of the future, then I would be sweet.
I held SGH, for the January announcement, and it never came. That was misplaced trust in management.
