Renewable energy is moving fast at the moment and we see a lot of interest in this market which is great. The blue economy is here to stay, that is for sure…. However, I do start questioning if CWE management has got their strategy right.
As a SH it is disappointing to see that the company has managed the commercialisation of CETO 5, running pilot projects with Government funding is of interest but I believe we need more and bigger projects to be sustainable.
Sure, it is important to innovate, certainly CETO 6 looks promising and is an impressive improvement overall but CWE will really need to look at its business differently – relaying on grants from governments is not sustainable in the long-term.
As CWE will only get a small percentage of the overall renewable space, speed to market is essential. Bigger investments are required to kick off this great concept. In my humble opinion, CWE can learn a lot from other renewable industries….
Recently, Investor Group (Valentia Eastasia) invested a MASSIVE USD 215 million in renewable energy company in Australia. Indeed, one can conclude serious investments are obviously available out there – so why CWE can’t leverage from this interest is beyond my comprehension.
What is your opinion - what can CWE management do to take this great concept to new heights – or are we just sitting here waiting for CETO 7, 8 and 9 before we will see further momentum in SP….?.
