Generally on the way down or up, there is an overshoot aspect to be aware of...if stop losses are triggered, panic selling, etc, then gaps can overshoot. And, there is the psychological aspect to trading...we generally move in groups - safety in numbers, and just as in a sp surge, FOMO kicks in, so the opposite would apply in a sp decline. We all have our own triggers...
