Broadspectrum's top investors backed the board's decision to reject Ferrovial's takeover bid in late January after independent expert Ernst & Young said shares were worth between $1.71 and $1.98 each.
Ferrovial's takeover bid will close on February 22 unless extended. Ferrovial's bankers are understood to have had conversations with Broadspectrum shareholders.
