This is a very interesting development. ME companies buying up oil assets .. who would have thought that the ones manipulating the price lower would take advantage!! Will no doubt be lots more of this IMHO.
My order of majors being interested in more equity in our JV leases goes .... COP (30 geos on it, want to be operator, don't like juniors involved in development projects), Cairn (they know what they would be buying), Total (the French connection), ME buyers, super majors like Exxon.
