They are pumping out Rutile on average about 20 tonnes per hour depending on the quality of grade coming from the Ginko mine that I think is currently selling between $900.00 & $1200.00 a ton.The trouble over the past couple of weeks has been the heavy rain on the dirt road leading into Ginko. This rain made the road unpassable which stopped the feed on the trucks coming in. The MSP had actually run out of feed (Non Mags they call it out there) & had to close the wet plant, this wasn't so bad though as they performed a heap of maintenance in the plant which im sure will reduce any future unforseen downtime when we have a good steady feed. They are looking at sealing the road but the cost is going to be enormous. Imagine bitumising 62 Kms of road, I would hate to guess. Plant generally runs like a clock.I hear on the grapevine that stage two of development will be underway in the new year. Im pretty sure stage two is the building of a what they call a roaster, this will surely create lots more jobs & will rule out the need for the concentrate to go to Bunbury for the final stage of processing, it can be railed straight to Port Adelaide & sent overseas to places like America & China for sale. The spill at Ginko, rumour has it that a guy decided on his own accord to replace a drainage pipe from the bank & attempt to slip a larger one in its place. It didn't work, when he removed the pipe the bank busted & **** went everywhere. (& I mean everywhere) Not sure if he still works there ? Cheers...
