AntN, IMO we should be treating everyone the same.
But we didn't deny non-Aboriginals citizenship in Australia, we didn't send in the troops into non-Aboriginal communities, we didn't confiscate non-Aboriginal kids and place them permanently against the will of their extended families with religious zealots and we certainly didn't lecture remote non-Aboriginal communities about them being 'lifestyle choices' and too big a burden on taxpayers.
We have NOT wiped indigenous peoples' slates clean of the stains we placed on them. IMO Alan Jones latest outburst is a reminder of just how deeply entrenched bigotry and prejudice really are in Australia and IMO incite self-indulgent comment such as that below:
