Vertigo, because of the unprecedented, oppressive censorship regime imposed by Tony Abbott's Government we have NO idea as to what has happened to asylum seekers.
There is NO proof that people have not drowned at sea on this government's watch.
But there are many examples of how this government has sought to suppress reports of what has been happening - paying people smugglers to return asylum seekers from whence they came for example. Then there's the never-ending humanitarian crisis that cannot be fully suppressed on Nauru and Manus Islands.
Until independent external watchdogs verify claims such as those you made; they are not credible.
As for conveniently ignoring what is happening to all of those seeking to make the journey to Australia by boat and the impact that is having within Indonesia as well as to those damage and vulnerable asylum seekers; IMO Australia has yet another humanitarian stain on its human rights record.
