IMO it describes the ongoing failures of our criminal justice system and the extent to which our judiciary has been grotesquely wealthy, fat, slothful and highly politicised.

Until judges actually reflect community standards and expectations instead of trying to fabricate them in their own self-indulgent image, the sorts of atrocities described in that article will characterise life in Australia.

There should be zero tolerance for the sort of behaviour described in that article and an emphatic bottom line that acts to deter such gutless mongrels from wandering our streets in search of easy opportunities to practice their inhumane, wanton barbarity.
