yeah, interesting thoughts... maybe our reporting season starts after the us and uk, hence the lag? Maybe because much of the aussie economy is actually in recession except for mining and related industries... maybe good mineral prices are already fully priced in and probably around their highs... so future doesn't looks too good for economy if commodities come off the boil ... they are notoriously volatile... interest rate increases sort out commodity markets real fast...
