Hi Farjock. .. to answer your questions, I havery been on the oceanrig drillships in Africa for the last three years, and ten years total in African waters...

This side of Africa has not once stopped us from doing any operations... the only time they may delay a bit is if your trying to latch onto a pre spudded well..

But the technology and station keeping abilities of these rigs means it's a very rare event indeed.

Granted in other parts of the world it may hamper operations but not in West Africa..
