Jimk I am just trying to put together information in a rational way and not buy into the sensationalism flying from a lot here. Putting pieces of information together.
1. It was flagged in previous information that Manchester was one of the UK offices being considered for redundancies and closure.
2. It was mentioned in the suspension notice that there are material items not yet finalised (including but not limited to impairment testing)
3. We have a comment from a Manchester employee saying they have a meeting on Friday
I think one could reasonably imply that one of the non finalised items is completing (and then announcing) office closures of which Manchester is one. Obviously this is all speculation like everything else but I think one that I can at least form a rational basis for.
