Shorters will move on anything where there is perceived uncertainty, and this doesn't mean that they are right. I have made some ripper calls going against shorters , including FXJ in the high 30s and MTS in the very low 1s. In fact you will not some of your oil stocks are heavily shorted. Up until recently there was very good reason to short BDR and for those that believe that gold rally will fizzle ( not me ) then there may still be some reason

A shorted company is not a bad company , it's just the opposite view to being long . It's like suggesting how can anyone be long on a company if it's struggling . Should that company have only shorts. I am not against shorts at all. As much as a long manipulates the price up , ( it doesnt really ) these guys manipulate down , (they don't really ) but in the end company performance will dictate if the shorts stay or unwind
