THE BANKERS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC PAYS FIRST INTERIM DIVIDEND
 FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31 OCTOBER 2016

The Bankers Investment Trust PLC has declared a first interim dividend of
4.00p per ordinary share net (2015: 3.90p) in respect of the year ending 31
October 2016 payable on 31 May 2016 to shareholders registered on 15 April
2016.  The Company's shares go ex-dividend on 14 April 2016.
