SGH merely has to service the interest on the loan ... ... the $ 700 m. isn't due to be paid back immediately .... imagine if the banks did this to homeowners across Australia , and pulled the rug from under them , there'd be an immediate collapse in the real estate industry ... is that smart banking ?
