Fairly certain that the price per tower is around 500-800m .. depending on building costs/design at the time.
Benefit of the tower is the little/no water required and very low maintenance costs over 80-100 years.
Break even time has been mentioned here before, but I can't recall atm.
Yes, it does seem like a crazy idea, but has some very big pluses going for it - plus the big push for renewable makes the near future (ME, India, US, China) very good for EVM.
These countries are throwing around lots of cash, and valentia have tens of billions at their disposal too.
We should end up seeing multiple towers built in the USA and India, and most likely ME.
China, who knows .. but we know they love building anything and everything non stop!
