    LME base metals increase on Thursday

    LONDON, March 3 (Xinhua) -- The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed higher on Thursday.

    The three-month unofficial copper price increased 62.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.31 percent, to 4,845 U.S. dollars per tonne.

    The three-month unofficial aluminium price increased 6 U.S. dollars, or 0.38 percent, to 1,588 U.S. dollars a tonne.

    The three-month unofficial lead price increased 36 U.S. dollars, or 2 percent, to 1,832 U.S. dollars a tonne.

    Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price increased 31.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.75 percent, to 1,836.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

    The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 155 U.S. dollars, or 1.77 percent, to 8,930 U.S. dollars a tonne.

    The three-month unofficial tin price increased 300 U.S. dollars, or 1.85 percent, to 16,475 U.S. dollars a tonne.
