I don't know much about shorting, but I don't think thats right.

The shorts all seem to be between 6.5c and 9c, meaning that the shorters would already be behind the 8-ball now, only they have made a fortune in the mean time. The lenders purchase price has nothing to do with the profit of the shorter.
I'm sure i can be corrected here.
