You might read it that way. They would have had the Jan figures at 29 Feb (and much of Feb) and if they were known to be a material improvement or worsening they would have announced something (at least Jan figures) as an update because it would be price sensitive in circumstances. I think the banks have given them time in part to give themselves time to figure out what to do. Also the audit itself was only finalised just before 29 Feb (as explained in release when shares suspended).
Historically @SGH over last 10 months, a bit more time to come up with an announcement has led to optimism that news will be good, only to be dashed by actual news. Management have been consistent in one thing: slow to deliver bad news. But maybe this time will be different.
