Calvin specialised in voluminous and cutting edge critique of the terminal depravity of mankind - he wanted people to know how to survive Judgement Day, and cared nought for any kind of worldy commercial success - he may have made a response (maybe akin to the later "protestant work ethic" - where if you work hard you prosper, surprise surprise) about commercial success, but it was of no account at all to him.
The neocons are a fad, they will become the archeocons before you know it, the big thing this century is will the west do a serious critique of the Koran as it has the Bible, and what will be the result?
