GeoOp ranked amongst the fastest growing technology companies in Asia-Pacific
Booming mobile workforce software company GeoOp (GEO) has been ranked as one
of the fastest growing businesses in the Asia-Pacific region.
The New Zealand-based company placed 41st in the prestigious Technology Fast
500 Asia Pacific list with revenue growth of 935 per cent for the three years
to June 2015. This makes GEO one of the leading performers in the software
sector.
The annual list, produced by global accounting firm Deloitte, is an important
gauge of success for technology companies in the region. For the past 14
years it has celebrated 500 growth leaders in hardware, software,
communications, media, life sciences and clean technology. It is only open to
companies that have headquarters in the Asia-Pacific and have been in
business for a minimum of three years.
GEO's chief executive Anna Cicognani says the Company has been focused on
building user numbers in its main markets of Australia, New Zealand and North
America. "This result shows that our strategy is working," Dr Cicognani said.
"GEO is striving to constantly improve our customers' experience, especially
when it comes to integrations with other business software, such as Xero,
Quickbooks and Navman. Our recently announced easy-payments system, GeoPay,
is another way we have shown that we put our customers first."
GEO has grown strongly over the past 12 months and won several hi-tech and
business support awards. It operates in 35 countries and 44 industry sectors,
with an emphasis on construction trades.
Only two New Zealand companies made the top 50 -GEO and Transcribe Me (ranked
18th). The fastest-growing entrant was entertainment software company
Devsisters from South Korea with 8516% revenue growth over three years.
