This has crossed my mind also. Newmont is the obvious candidate. With HTM planning to spin-off all its Waihi prospects together into "Newco Ltd", and seperately list it on the NZX, looks like they are thinking along similiar lines - but want to seperate out/protect HTM's other assets, i.e. Northland permits and Investment in Broken Hill Cobolt. Bought a few of these, just in case. Watching with interest.
The above would also seem to be underscored by the fact that Newmont don't seem interested to enter into a toll treatment with HTM to process HTM's ore to date.
