Alinta Energy confirmed increased buyer interest for their Port Augusta power station in SA. If they can manage to sell it to a party with a commercial purpose someone has to supply coal. The closed Leigh Creek coal mine has been targeted by LCK for acquisition and local groups for permanent shut down.
May be WECs stranded coal asset in SA could be resurrected in this particular scenario.
