    I first tried Appleton Estate when in Panama 1987. We had a contact in the American PX store and bought 3x 12 bottles @ $1.50 each bottle. plus 100 doz Bud beer @ $2.50 doz which saw out the remainder of our sailing adventure to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I would buy Appleton Estate today in preference to any other rum.
