To those comments devoid of an answer above: Joel Fitzgibbon, Anthony Albanese? Is that all you've got?
Some of you waffle aimlessly with absolutely no serious suggestions for an alternative leader of this country.
Howard was goodimo, one of the best. Abbott was good and getting better (hence the urgent desire to execute him by opportunistic MT and JB),
Gillard and Rudd were megalomaniacal destroyers who had only their egos driving them.
In hindsight Hawke and Keating had a few good points and would shudder at the Gillard/Rudd legacy.
Anyway, back to the topic. It appears there is a dearth of appropriate talent on the Opposition side capable of talking the mantle of PM.
Lappy, I agree. Clutching at straws is all the ALP cheer squad can do. I agree, we are not being well enough served. The media's insatiable quest for gotcha comments from Politicians muffles a lot of good which ought to be honestly said. That's why Trump appeals to a record number of Republican voters imo. A lot of bluster, but a lot of honest straight shooting, calling a spade a spade instead of a shovel..
I hope for the sake of our democracy, one day Labor will have a credible team of shadows who will be an adequate match for the Coalition.
