I agree with you on this point. Not to worry about the young savy users because they should know what they are doing... However, need to protect business and elderly phone users from being hacked or misused.

Many stories from social forums mentioned their elderly parents phones were mysteriously registered to those 3nd party premium services without them knowing about. Many involved some old phones with only voice and messaging capability..

I cannot help but wonder, how can these old phone register to premium services without mobile data or internet enable ?... Unless they are still using the older generation 555 services ?????. Anyway, only my suggestion and take it whatever way you wish... Flooding complains from consumers to the ACCC won't be good for any business..
