Footy’s post on another thread said it All. Abbott’s undermining has worked to turn off many swing voters away from the LNP. The Hard Right conservatives have all contributed with your hatred towards Malcolm Turnbull.

The crazy thing is you all would never vote Labor so by driving the swing voters away you have cut off your noses to spite your own faces lol. Thats exactly what I predicted if Abbott hung around and his minority supporters kept up the undermining. There has been much focus on this not allowing the Turnbull team the oxygen it needed to get on with the job of governing.

The leaking was disastrous and of course the Road to Ruin revelations have also damaged the liberal cause. Voters know that while Abbott is around the dysfunction could continue and their vote for Turnbull could be undermined. That undermining continues as evidenced by this thread and as has been often acknowledged by political pundits, disunity in a govt particularly when an election is imminent, is death and the road to ruin could become complete.
