Public companies must lodge interim financial reports (half year) and full year reports to the ASX. No other financial reporting is mandatory.
Interim reports are reviewed by auditors (but an opinion is not given) - just a broad stroke, analytical "look-over". Full year reports are audited and an audit opinion is given - much more work is performed at this stage to ensure that the position and performance of the business is not misstated.
Having said that, it would be nice to get more updates on how business is going in general for such a downtrodden company.
